An EXCLUSIVE SAFARI is one that is designed between the Tour Operator and the holidaymaker. They are not scheduled trips...each one is unique and EXCLUSIVE to you in terms of accommodation, duration, activities and budget.

The way we run safaris: We believe that a friendly welcome is  a universally good start to a holiday. But that's where our fixed schedule ends!  90% of our safaris are tailor made, because every enquiry is different.....We all have different ideas about what constitutes a great holiday. Some people like wildlife, some like adventure. Some people want to relax with a gin and tonic, some want to party the night away.  So please don't ask us for our safari rates, because each safari has its own price. All we need from you is some information on who, how many, when and how much. We can then give you some suitable options. If you're happy with our first suggestions there's no more thinking required from you. If there's something you don't like, we'll change it until you're happy.

First decision.....How much time can we spare and what is our budget? We can't decide this for you but when you email us we can give advice on costs and how much you can realistically do in a certain time frame.

Second decision.....How should we get around and what sort of holiday do we want: In an expanse such as Zimbabwe, charter flights are a popular method of traveling between destinations and provide a unique and top of the range safari. However, we appreciate that they are a luxury which is outside some budgets so we also offer 4x4 self drive safaris  which provide a more leisurely pace and  holidays to suit everyone's pocket.   For nervous first timers to Africa or for those who want to be totally pampered and spoilt we also offer the above as ESCORTED safaris.....so any uncertainties, African quirks, decisions  AND the washing up, can be passed over to your guide. 

Third decision....where do we want to stay: Accommodation within Zimbabwe is generally superb and often unique. The choices range from Public Campsites, Bush Camps and Self Catering Cottages to Luxury Private Camps/Lodges and 5 Star Hotels. The lodges and camps where we might suggest that you stay are chosen for various reasons:-  their location, their value for money and their care for the environment. Utmost on our list are the staff which, at our preferred lodges, are renowned for their friendliness and hospitality.

Our self drive safaris offer you the freedom to travel at your own pace through a value packed itinerary organized by Cameron Harvey Safaris. With careful discussion each route is individually tailored to suit your interests and budget. Special interests can easily be accommodated into any itinerary. We take care to ensure that all accommodation, activities and travel arrangements are fully prepared.

Alternatively you can simply hire our vehicles and be left to your own devices. We can equip your vehicle with camping and cooking facilities should you require them.
